That’s the role her daughter, Valentina Pinault, plays in the pair’s new Carversations episode — part of Instagram’s parent-teen interview series — and, Hayek says, in real life too. Little surprises her about her daughter anymore. “There’s very little that can surprise me about what comes out of Valentina’s mouth, because by now I’m used to hearing the unexpected,” she said — describing a relationship where the learning flows both ways.
