Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter were spotted enjoying a stylish night out in New York City on Friday, just hours after Sabrina Carpenter picked up a major slate of Grammy nominations. The longtime friends and collaborators dined at The Corner Store in SoHo, a high-end restaurant where a 12 oz bone-in New York Strip can run upwards of $80, marking a celebratory evening for the newly minted multi-nominee.
Taylor Swift took a brief break from her busy schedule and from fiancé Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to spend time with Sabrina Carpenter, who recently served as one of her openers on the Eras Tour. The outing comes on the same day the Recording Academy announced Carpenter’s six Grammy nominations for her acclaimed album Man’s Best Friend, including nods for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video.
The duo, who collaborated on the title track of Taylor Swift’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl, released last month, arrived to dinner looking coordinated in chic, autumn-inspired ensembles. Taylor Swift wore a pleated brown sweater layered with a navy vest, paired with a mini skirt and strappy red platform heels that towered over the sidewalk. She accessorized with gold bracelets and rings and carried a small brown handbag. Her hair was partially pulled back and she completed the look with her signature red lipstick.
Sabrina Carpenter opted for a classic and elegant style, wearing a beige trench coat over black pantyhose and matching heels. She carried a black Chanel handbag, with her blonde waves softly cascading over her coat. The Fate of Ophelia star, who rose to fame on Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World, has openly expressed admiration for Swift, describing her as one of her “best, best friends.” Their closeness has only grown since touring together from August 2023 through March 2024.
Sabrina Carpenter previously won Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards in February. Taylor Swift, meanwhile, did not receive nominations for the upcoming 2026 Grammys, as The Life of a Showgirl was released after the eligibility cutoff. The album will instead compete during the 2027 awards cycle.
Friday night’s outing followed two days of public appearances between Swift and Kelce, who were seen leaving exclusive members-only club Zero Bond on Thursday and dining hand-in-hand at The Polo Bar earlier in the week. The newly engaged couple has been spending time together in New York during a break in Kelce’s NFL schedule and Taylor Swift’s ongoing music projects.
With Carpenter riding high on Grammy recognition and Taylor Swift on the cusp of yet another awards cycle, the pair’s evening appeared to be both a celebration of success and a moment of well-timed downtime amid their busy careers—proof that even pop powerhouses make time for a glamorous girls’ night out.
