Anya Taylor-Joy Lights Up NYC in a Bold Balmain Bra-Top Look

The actor gave fans an early glimpse of Balmain’s Pre-Spring 2027 line while promoting her new series, Lucky

Anya Taylor-Joy knows how to turn an ordinary press outing into a full-on style moment. On July 16, the actor stepped out in New York City to promote her heist crime-thriller miniseries, Lucky, and brought a jolt of color to the city’s gray, smoke-tinged skyline with a first look at Balmain’s Pre-Spring 2027 collection.

As the very first person to wear a piece from the upcoming line, Taylor-Joy opted for a summery ensemble built around a fuchsia satin bra top made for warm weather. Over it, she layered a single piece: a long-sleeve olive-green cardigan cut in a cropped, shrunken shape that stopped right at the bra line. She wore its chunky buttons left open.

For the bottom half, she broadened the green-and-purple scheme with a floral jacquard velvet midi skirt in shades of orange, brown, and yellow, complete with a front slit and a hem that grazed the knee. Her open-toe lemon mules, set on a clear heel, echoed the yellow woven through the skirt’s pattern.

Taylor-Joy finished the look with a gold Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti Bean pendant strung on a slim black silk cord, adding gold hoop earrings and a matching bracelet. Her platinum hair was worn straight with a side part, and a soft blue-gray shadow swept across her eyelids.

Introducing a new Balmain collection has practically become a ritual for the actor, who unveiled the label’s Fall/Winter 2026 line back in April. This time, her preview marked the very first public appearance of the Pre-Spring 2027 range—leaving fans eager to see the rest.
