Barcelona Tailor Santa Eulalia Brings Its Shirtmaking to Zara in Six-Piece Capsule

Zara has released its first collaboration with Santa Eulalia, the Barcelona fashion house founded in 1843. The capsule, labelled Santa Eulalia Barcelona 1843 x Zara, is made up of six limited-edition men’s shirts, each priced at €59.95.

The launch came as something of a surprise, arriving while attention was focused on John Galliano’s first collection for the Inditex-owned chain, his Re{form} line. The shirts join Zara’s autumn/winter 2026/2027 menswear offer and are on sale through the brand’s website and in selected stores in key European markets, including France, the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain.

For Santa Eulalia, the project reverses its usual role. The house, which trades from 93 Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona, is one of the best-known multi-brand retailers in Spain and Europe and normally hosts collaborations from other labels. This time it is exporting its own know-how. Its president, Luis Sans, says the bespoke menswear workshop is the largest of its kind still operating in Spain. “What we offer in tailoring is quite exceptional,” he said. The release also falls in a year when Santa Eulalia is marking the centenary of its first runway show, held in Barcelona in 1926.

The collar is what sets each shirt apart, with up to five styles across the range and a different coloured fabric for every piece. There is a slim-fit sky blue cotton shirt with a spread collar, a slim-fit striped shirt with a contrasting white semi-spread collar and a regular-fit white cotton shirt with a pointed collar. A regular-fit washed indigo chambray with a button-down collar comes in dark and light versions, and a slim-fit pink cotton shirt has a hidden button-down collar. Zara describes the selection as rooted in shirtmaking tradition. Because a single price applies to all six, the choice comes down to fit, colour and collar rather than budget. As a limited edition, the collection is available only while stocks last.

The closest precedent for the deal is Zara’s earlier tie-up with the Madrid company Castellano 1920, which sold a shoe collection at Zara Man in Madrid. Recent Zara partners have also included Aaron Levine, 0Fr. Paris, Ridar, Fruit of the Loom, photographer Martin Parr and the duo Baisi-Guadagnino. FashionUnited reads the Santa Eulalia capsule as Inditex exporting “brand Spain” through one of its oldest fashion names.
