Asos and Adidas Originals are taking their latest joint collection to Paris. Collection 05, the fifth range the two companies have made together, will be the focus of a four-day pop-up at Adidas’s store on the Champs-Élysées from 16 to 19 October.
The Paris event follows a London activation in July, when core styles sold out and the pop-up was described as one of the most successful ever held at Adidas’s flagship. Vanessa Spence, executive vice president of brand and creative at Asos, said the move lets the brand present its point of view in one of the world’s fashion capitals and give shoppers a way to see and try the collection in person rather than only online. “Taking the collection to Paris allows us to bring that point of view to life,” she said.
The partnership dates back to 2024, when Asos produced an Adidas collection through its Test & React model. That system relies on small production runs and data-led trend forecasting, and on the first collaboration it cut the usual design-to-market time of three to six months down to three weeks. The speed of that first drop set the pattern for the collections that followed, with Asos using its data on what customers buy to shape each new range.
Collection 05 takes its cue from 1980s sportswear and mixes the sporting heritage of Adidas Originals with the trend-led design Asos is known for. The womenswear pieces play with exaggerated proportions, retro panelling, oversized funnel necks and bold detailing. Fabrics include faux fur, satin, sheened nylon and embellished trackwear. The palette is autumnal, built around brown, black, rust and neutral tones, with brighter colours and animal prints used as accents. Prices start at £80 for track pants and rise to £160 for an embellished check track jacket, which is the most elaborate piece in the line-up. The mix of shiny technical fabrics with softer, more decorative materials is intended to take classic trackwear beyond the gym and into everyday dressing, in line with the collection’s 1980s reference point.
Members of the Asos.World loyalty scheme get first access from 15 October, a day before the collection goes on sale worldwide on 16 October. The Paris pop-up opens on the same day as the global launch and runs until 19 October.
