On the press tour for The Odyssey, the actor’s archival Givenchy look joined a run of standout moments in Schiaparelli, Jacquemus, and Valentino

Zendaya knows how to make an entrance. Videos of the actor arriving at the Parisian photocall for The Odyssey spread across social media the moment she stepped out of her car. Dressed in a white tailored minidress with dramatic batwing cuffs, she completed the look with a pointed mask shaped like the Eiffel Tower — then posed directly in front of the real monument for maximum effect.
The ensemble came courtesy of her longtime stylist, Law Roach, who pulled it from the Givenchy archives. The specific piece was from Alexander McQueen’s SS97 couture collection, his debut for the house. Model Debra Shaw, a frequent McQueen muse, originally wore the outfit when the collection premiered on January 19, 1997. Titled The Search for the Golden Fleece, the show drew on the Greek myth of Jason and the Argonauts, in which Jason, the prince of Iolcos, is sent on a perilous journey to reclaim his throne. The mythological, journey-driven inspiration behind the look ties neatly into the film Zendaya is currently promoting.
But the Eiffel Tower moment was only one entry in an increasingly ambitious press-tour wardrobe.
Earlier in the week, at the film’s world premiere in London, Zendaya wore a sculptural Schiaparelli gown featuring a statuesque bodice, a beaded fringe skirt, and interior lighting that made the dress glow from within. Remarkably, the piece had only debuted on the Schiaparelli AW26 couture runway that same morning. According to reports, Roach arranged for the gown to be taken straight from the runway and flown by private jet to reach the premiere in time.
One look wasn’t enough for the evening, though. Midway through the premiere, Zendaya changed into a Grecian-inspired draped gown from Alessandro Michele’s AW26 Valentino collection.
The day before, also in London, she appeared in a custom white Jacquemus ensemble that included a silk headwrap paired with ancient earrings from the jeweler Barron — pieces reportedly estimated to be between 2,000 and 3,000 years old.
Between the archival McQueen, the runway-fresh Schiaparelli, and the millennia-old jewelry, Zendaya and Roach have once again turned a promotional tour into a fashion event in its own right.
