Royal fashion conversation often centers on figures like the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex, who make headlines every time they step out. But one royal who deserves a place in the discussion is Princess Sofia of Sweden, the Duchess of Värmland, whose end-of-summer wardrobe has quietly become one of the most consistent in Europe.
In February 2025, the Swedish royal gave birth to her fourth child, Princess Ines Marie Lilian Silvia, and stepped back from public engagements for a stretch of maternity leave. She has since returned to her official duties without losing her sharp sense of style, and as summer winds down, an all-white palette has emerged as her signature.
Since easing back into the spotlight, Sofia has worked her way through a series of milky hues, from a draping eggshell Arakii gown to a tennis-inspired bright-white Andiata minidress and an embroidered Stenströms cardigan in cream. The through-line is a crisp, monochromatic ease that reads as both regal and modern.
She continued the streak at the opening of a new cultural center, or kulturhuset, in Ursvik, Sundbyberg, just north of Stockholm. For the visit she wore a fitted tee with mid-length sleeves paired with a striking set of bottoms, billowing wide-leg trousers pleated all the way around.
A few finishing touches completed the look: pointy white pumps to match and a silver statement watch from Rolex. Still, it was hard to focus on anything but those trousers, proof that sometimes all a great outfit needs is one exceptional pair of pants to deliver the wow.
